When you see a shit on the leaves, it may not necessary be a true shit, but a shit of disguise - the poop spiders. They resembles the droppings of a bird, therefore derives its name, bird-dropping spiders. Mimicking the look of bird-droppings by drawing their legs close to their body and laying motionlessly on the leaf for hours, it has made themselves look very unappetizing to its predators. 1. Phrynarachne ceylonica (Bird-dung Crab Spider) - This spider is emitting a foul smell that deters predators but attract preys as I'm photographing it. It does really smells like real dung and very overwhelmingly turn-off. 2. Phrynarachne sp. (Bird-dung Crab Spider) - Suspected to be the male of the above (yet to confirm). No smell was detected while photographing this guy. Its full black makes it look like shit but not a real shit. 3. Cyrtarachne bufo (Bird-dropping Spider) - This spider resembles a fresh bird-dropping shit which still has some whitish substances. It just laid motionless
